Application

What is the minimum number of participants required? Can I join alone?

Our tours require a minimum of one participant. The tour price may vary depending on the number of participants, so please check the pricing details for different group sizes.

Do you offer private or exclusive tours?

At IKIGAI, all of our tours are private. This allows for a more personalized experience where you can freely ask questions and enjoy the guide’s storytelling without the distractions of a large group.

Is there a waiting list if the tour is fully booked?

Yes, we do offer a waiting list. If a spot becomes available, we will contact you. If you do not receive a confirmation from us, your waiting list request will be automatically canceled.

Payment

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept credit cards, debit cards, and bank transfers. Payment is required in advance, and we will send you the payment instructions via email.

Can I pay in cash on the day of the tour?

We do not accept cash payments on the day of the tour.

Cancel / Change

What is your cancellation policy?

Cancellation Policy:
Same-day & no-show: 100% of the tour fee
2 to 1 day before the tour: 50% of the tour fee
7 to 3 days before the tour: 30% of the tour fee
8 or more days before the tour: No charge

Is there a fee if I change the tour date?

There is no fee for changing the tour date. However, if you cancel the tour after rescheduling, a flat 50% cancellation fee will apply regardless of when you cancel.

Will the tour be canceled due to bad weather? Will I get a refund?

Our tours operate in all weather conditions. If you decide to cancel due to bad weather, the standard cancellation policy and fees will apply.

Preparation

What essential items should I bring?

Please bring your phone and wallet. In case of rain, we recommend bringing an umbrella or rain gear. During the summer, carrying water and a towel is also advisable.

Are there lockers or places to store large luggage?

Some locations we visit may have lockers or storage areas. However, we recommend bringing as little as possible for ease of movement.

Is there an age restriction? Can children join the tour?

There is no age restriction. However, some tours may not be suitable for very young children. If you have any concerns, please contact us.

Do you have tours that are wheelchair-accessible or suitable for people with disabilities?

Yes, we offer tours that can accommodate wheelchair users and guests with disabilities. Please inform us in advance so we can make the necessary arrangements.

Can you accommodate large groups (e.g., 10 or 50+ participants)?

Our standard tours are designed for groups of 6 to 10 participants. However, we may be able to accommodate larger groups upon request. Please contact us for more details.

Can you create a custom tour program?

Yes, we can customize tours upon request. If you have specific places you’d like to visit, such as a particular restaurant or a location not easily accessible by public transport, we will do our best to accommodate your preferences.
