Konnichiwa! I'm Yuta, the guide and founder of IKIGAI.

I created IKIGAI because I wanted to share the essence of IKIGAI with people from all over the world. My passion lies in exploring Shinto, Japanese shrines, and the deep spirituality of the Japanese people.

I currently live in Yuki Town, a beautiful countryside area in Hiroshima, known for its natural hot springs.

I can’t wait to explore Japan’s deep culture with you and help you experience its hidden wonders firsthand!

    I’m 25 years old and was born and raised in Hiroshima.
    I mainly guide peace tours, sharing the city’s history and the stories behind it.
    To improve my English, I spent a year living in Canada, where I enjoyed meeting people from many different backgrounds. I also love visiting hot springs. Through the tours, I hope to share not only Hiroshima’s past but also the charm and beauty of Japan. Looking forward to guiding you!

      I live in Yuki-chō, a peaceful corner of Hiroshima City surrounded by beautiful nature and kind-hearted people. As a host family, I've had the joy of connecting with wonderful guests from around the world—and each encounter has been deeply meaningful.
      Our home is a 200-year-old traditional Japanese house, nestled beside a moss-covered garden that gently opens into the forest. It’s a place where time slows down, and where we share simple, precious moments together—just like family.

My roots run deep in this city, and I never get tired of sharing its charms, from peaceful riverside paths to its twin World Heritage sites. Whether it’s history, food, or hidden local gems, I enjoy guiding visitors through places like Peace Memorial Park, downtown Hiroshima, and Miyajima, sharing stories that bring the city’s past and present to life.

              Hi! My name is Kane, and I’m an English-speaking guide based in Hiroshima. I was born and raised here, and both of my maternal grandparents witnessed the atomic bombing. Their stories have inspired me to share Hiroshima’s history with visitors from around the world.

                  My grandfather was originally from Etajima, which inspired me to move here in search of my roots and lifestyle in the countryside.
